Business Development (USA Market)
Job description
Objective of the position
Lead the identification, prospecting, and opening of new strategic accounts in the United States within the Food & Beverage, Pet Food, and Home Care industries. The executive will be responsible for generating business opportunities from scratch, building relationships with decision-makers, and converting prospects into clients through a highly consultative and results-oriented approach.
Main Responsibilities
- Develop hunting strategies to generate new commercial opportunities in the US market.
- Prospect and open doors with large mass consumption and manufacturing corporations, including companies such as Unilever, Procter & Gamble, Nestlé, Mars, Colgate-Palmolive, Church & Dwight, SC Johnson, Barcel, Grupo Bimbo, PepsiCo, Mondelez, General Mills, Kellogg's, Blue Buffalo, Hill's Pet Nutrition, Purina, and Royal Canin, among others.
- Identify expansion projects, new production lines, automation, packaging, ingredients, manufacturing, or any solution related to the company's portfolio.
- Build long-term relationships with Directors and Managers of Purchasing, Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, R&D, and Procurement.
- Lead the entire commercial cycle: prospecting, discovery, proposal presentation, negotiation, and closing.
- Maintain and manage a robust pipeline using CRM.
- Participate in trade fairs, events, and industry associations to generate networking and commercial opportunities.
- Monitor market trends, movements, and competitor activities.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Administration, International Business, Marketing, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in business development and consultative B2B sales with a predominantly Hunter profile.
- Proven experience prospecting and generating business in companies within:
- Food & Beverage
- Pet Food
- Home Care
- Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG)
- Experience in opening accounts within the United States market.
- Knowledge of purchasing processes and decision-making in large multinational corporations.
- Advanced or bilingual English is essential.
- Availability to travel within the United States.
