Business Development Manager - Supply Chain & Transport

Key Responsibilities

Actively identify and pursue new business opportunities in warehousing and transport.
Respond to Tenders, RFQs and RFPs, developing solutions alongside our Solutions Design Team.
Build and maintain strong client relationships, positioning our client as a trusted advisor in the market.
Lead contract negotiations, preparation and ongoing management.
Collaborate closely with operational, commercial and solutions teams to deliver customer outcomes.
Participate in industry events, conferences, and professional groups to grow market presence.
Use company systems and tools (Salesforce, MS Office) diligently to manage pipeline and reporting.

What You’ll Bring
We are looking for a commercially sharp sales professional who understands the New Zealand logistics and supply chain sector.

Proven supply chain / logistics experience – essential.
Commercially savvy, with the ability to understand pricing structures, margin levers and client contract negotiations.
Strong industry networks; acts as a trusted advisor and is well-informed on market dynamics.
A nimble, lateral thinker who can develop creative solutions while staying focused on strategic outcomes.
Team player – driven to achieve personal targets, but also collaborates to deliver wider team success.
Strong stakeholder management, communication and presentation skills.
Diligent in using systems and reporting tools, ensuring accurate forecasting and pipeline management.
