Business Development Manager – Industrial Equipment

Our client is looking for a Business Development Manager to join their team in Johannesburg. This full-time, on-site role forms part of a strategic growth initiative within the industrial equipment sector. The successful candidate will be instrumental in launching and expanding a new range of high-value products in the local market, supported by robust technical and operational infrastructure. Responsibilities: Conduct market analysis to identify target sectors, growth opportunities, and key customers. Develop and execute a comprehensive business development strategy to drive revenue growth and expand the company's presence in the industrial equipment sector. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and capitalize on new business opportunities. Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, suppliers, and partners. Identify and prioritize potential business opportunities, and develop and execute plans to pursue them. Analyze and interpret market data and trends to inform business development strategies. Develop and manage budgets and forecasts to ensure successful execution of business development initiatives. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field. 5+ years of experience in business development, sales, or a related field. Strong understanding of the industrial equipment sector and its key trends and challenges. Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Certifications: None.
