Business Development Manager for Optical Quantum Technologies (m/w/d)

We at PicoQuant specialize in the development and manufacture of devices for electro-optical measurements. Our team consists of around 120 employees with different fields of expertise from science and engineering. Our innovative products are key components in the emerging optical quantum technologies. We are looking for a committed person who will further develop our presence in this exciting future field.

Tasks

• You identify and explore new customer groups and application fields with a focus on our single-photon counters (Time Taggers) in the field of optical quantum technologies.
• You build international customer relationships with research institutions, universities, and industrial partners and maintain them sustainably.
• You develop strategies for market penetration and implement them specifically in future segments such as quantum cryptography, quantum sensing, and related technologies.
• You create technical and commercial presentations and represent the company at international conferences and trade shows.
• You work closely with our sales, marketing, and development teams to define product requirements and realize tailored solutions for our customers.

Qualification

• Completed studies (preferably with a Ph.D.) in physics, engineering, or comparable, with demonstrable experience
• Fundamental knowledge and practical experience in the field of single-photon counting in a relevant area of optical quantum technologies
• Excellent understanding of current developments and applications in the field of optical quantum technologies.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills in German and English and willingness to travel internationally (application and receipt of a US visa are required to perform this position).
• You possess German language skills at the C1 level and English language skills at the B2 level.
