Business Developer / External Salesperson – Group Department Tour Operator for the regions Lazio / Emilia-Romagna / Tuscany

Travel Friends is a fast-growing Tour Operator, specializing in building tailor-made experiences for clients throughout the national territory.

To consolidate our sales network in Italy, we are looking for a Sales Representative/Business Developer for the Groups division with solid experience in the tourism sector.

The individual will be responsible for developing and managing a client portfolio on the national territory, with the aim of acquiring new partners, retaining existing ones, and positioning Travel Friends as a reference Tour Operator.

We are looking for an autonomous, results-oriented individual with a consolidated network of contacts in the organized tourism sector.

What you will do

● Map and research, visit and acquire new leads in the territory of competence (1 day in home office/back office + 4 days in the territory visiting leads/clients)

● Manage negotiations and finalize agreements

● Maintain and develop relationships with clients

● Monitor sales performance and intervene with stimulus actions

● Conduct periodic visits to clients in the assigned territory

● Participate in industry trade fairs and local events

● Gather feedback from the market and report opportunities and trends

● Regularly report commercial activities through company tools

Who we are looking for

● Previous experience in sales roles in the tourism sector or in direct contact with clients

● Knowledge of the tourism market and tour operating dynamics

● Ability to autonomously develop and manage a client portfolio

● Experience in negotiation and accustomed to working towards objectives

● Availability to conduct DAILY visits to clients and travel within the assigned area

● Proficiency with digital tools

● Residence in the region of competence (Lazio, Emilia-Romagna, or Tuscany)

The ideal candidate is a professional in the tourism sector, preferably with experience in tour operating or direct sales to clients, with strong sales and interpersonal skills. Knowledge of the reference territory is preferred.

They can build solid relationships with clients, present the product effectively, and independently manage a portfolio in their territory. They are not afraid of the routine of daily visits and contacts, are curious, flexible, and can adapt to very different interlocutors.

They have a decisive, empathetic personality, capable of listening to client needs and transforming them into concrete opportunities.
