Business Data Analyst Finance & Requirements Management (m/f/d)

Do you understand business processes, think analytically, and can structure complex requirements comprehensibly? Do you move confidently between business departments and technical teams and enjoy developing viable solutions from data and requirements? Then we are looking for exactly you as a Business Data Analyst Finance & Requirements Management (m/f/d) part-time with 30 hours per week. In this role, you will form the interface between business, finance, and technical teams, ensuring that functional requirements are translated into successful data-based solutions.

Your Tasks:

• Receiving, structuring, and functionally evaluating requirements from business, finance, controlling, and adjacent business units
• Analysis of business processes, data flows, and functional use cases with a focus on accounting-relevant processes, service billing, commission pass-through, and resulting reporting requirements
• Checking data for functional plausibility, completeness, consistency, and suitability for the respective application case
• Developing and documenting functional requirements as well as translating them into implementable technical requirements
• Creation of functional concepts, specifications, data logics, mapping documentation, acceptance criteria, and test cases
• Coordination of requirements, priorities, and solution approaches between business units and technical teams
• Support with quality assurance as well as functional validation of implemented solutions and reports
• Documentation and continuous optimization of processes, requirements, and data structures

• Completed university degree or vocational training in Business Administration, Finance/Controlling, Business Informatics, Data Analysis, or a comparable qualification
• Several years of professional experience in analyzing commercial, financial, or billing-related data
• Experience in Business Analysis, Requirements Engineering, or a comparable interface function
• Very good understanding of business and financial processes, especially in the areas of billing, reporting, commissions, controlling, or finance
• Ability to systematically capture, critically question, prioritize functional requirements, and translate them into clear implementation requirements
• Strong analytical skills as well as a good understanding of data structures, data quality, and functional data modeling
• Experience with BI and reporting solutions as well as knowledge of SQL, Python, or comparable scripting or programming languages are advantageous
• Strong communication skills as well as the ability to bring different stakeholders together
• Independent, structured, and solution-oriented way of working
• Very good German and good English language skills
