What are we looking for?

At DSV Road, we want to incorporate a Business Controller Road into our Madrid offices. Their main mission will be to act as a financial and analytical Business Partner for the Road division, providing information, analysis, and recommendations that drive decision-making, profitable growth, and continuous business improvement. Among other tasks, the main ones will be the following:

• Act as a financial and strategic partner to Road Management, supporting decision-making through financial and operational analysis.
• Analyze revenue, Gross Profit, EBIT, and operational KPIs to identify improvement opportunities and growth levers.
• Monitor business performance against Budget, Forecast, and strategic objectives, identifying risks and opportunities.
• Perform profitability analysis by customer, branch, traffic, product, and business segment.
• Support Operations, Sales, and Management in commercial decisions, pricing, investments, and strategic projects.
• Prepare analyses, business cases, and recommendations that drive growth and profitability.
• Develop dashboards, KPIs, and analytical tools to improve business visibility and monitoring.
• Drive automation, digitalization, and continuous improvement initiatives for processes and reporting.
• Translate financial and operational information into concrete actions to improve business performance.

What requirements must you meet?

• Degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Accounting, or similar. Master's degree in Finance, Management Control, or Business Analytics is a plus.
• 4-8 years of experience in Controlling, FP&A, Business Analysis, or Finance Business Partnering.
• Experience in business analysis and performance indicator monitoring.
• Experience in transport, logistics, or complex operational environments is a plus.
• Experience collaborating with Operations and Sales teams.
• Fluent English (minimum B2).
• Advanced Excel level.
• Power BI or similar Business Intelligence tools.
• Knowledge of ERP (SAP or others).
• Financial modeling and data analysis.
• Budgeting and forecasting.
• Analytical mindset and business orientation.
• Ability to transform data into actionable recommendations.
• Ability to influence and constructively challenge stakeholders.
• Critical thinking and results orientation.
• Curiosity to understand business drivers.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Proactivity and ability to work in dynamic environments.
