Business Continuity Manager (m/w/d)

You think strategically, act practically, and keep a cool head even in critical situations? Then this position offers the chance to build a comprehensive Business Continuity Management (BCM) from scratch – with international responsibility and design scope in Cologne.

In this role, you create structures, develop standards, and ensure that the company remains operational even in extraordinary situations. You work closely with European country organizations and make a central contribution to organizational resilience.

Aufgaben

• BCM-Struktur aufbauen: You develop an international Business Continuity Framework and oversee its implementation in the European companies.
• Standards & Richtlinien etablieren: You define guidelines, design processes, and establish uniform standards throughout the entire group.
• Risiken verstehen & bewerten: You conduct risk and business impact analyses and derive concrete measures to secure business processes from them.
• Notfall- und Wiederanlaufpläne entwickeln: You create practical plans, regularly test them, and ensure that they work in an emergency situation.
• Krisenmanagement begleiten: You support the crisis team, coordinate measures, and keep a cool head even in challenging situations.
• Sicherstellen der Wirksamkeit: You plan and conduct exercises, review processes, and continuously develop the BCM.

Qualifikation

Your Profile

• Completed studies in Business Administration, Business Informatics, or equivalent qualification
• Multiple years of experience in Business Continuity Management, ideally in an international environment
• Knowledge of relevant standards and guidelines (e.g. BSI 200-4) as well as experience in setting up policies and processes
• Analytical, structured thinking and a good understanding of risk management
• Very good German and English skills and a confident appearance in exchange with various stakeholders (both languages daily in use)
• A reliable, solution-oriented personality with pleasure in conceptual work and international cooperation
