Your Mission

Are you passionate about data analysis and want to apply your skills in a dynamic, hands-on environment? Then become part of our team as a Business Analytics Intern and support us in making data-driven decisions and further developing our business processes.

In this role, you will automate workflows, analyze commercial key figures, and gain valuable insights from complex data. You will also work on energy simulations and, together with our team, further develop Python-based tools – for example, for simulating battery storage or evaluating innovative energy supply solutions.

This internship offers you comprehensive practical experience at the interface of analytics and the energy industry. You will gain insights into a fast-paced environment and have the opportunity to transition into a working student role afterwards.

The Team

You will become part of the Commercial team and support our go-to-market activities with potential analyses, energy simulations, and commercial evaluations. You will work at the intersection of the energy industry, data analysis, and sales, helping us to assess the economic potential of energy facilities and innovative supply solutions.

Your Projects

Profitability Analyses and Energy Data Modeling

• You will conduct economic feasibility calculations for industrial customers, prepare energy data, and develop models for evaluating different energy supply solutions.

Workflow Automation and Process Optimization

• You will identify recurring processes and develop data-driven automation solutions that make our internal processes more efficient and scalable.

Energy Simulations and Battery Control

• You will use and further develop Python-based simulations for energy industry use cases – for example, for the intelligent control of battery storage or for evaluating innovative supply solutions.

Data Analysis and Visualization

• You will analyze energy, price, and commercial data, identify relevant correlations, and present your findings in meaningful visualizations for case studies, the website, sales activities, and internal stakeholders.
  
  

Your Responsibilities

• Data Analysis and Economic Feasibility Calculations: You will analyze extensive energy and price data of our customers and conduct detailed economic feasibility calculations for various energy supply solutions using our simulation tools.

• Simulations and Offer Preparation: You will evaluate simulation results and support the team in developing customized, data-driven offers for potential customers – for example, for battery storage and innovative supply solutions.

• Process Automation and Project Work: You will independently implement projects for the automation and optimization of data and analysis processes. You will work closely with interdisciplinary teams on concrete customer and product applications.

• Research and Further Development: You will research scientific publications and new regulatory developments in the fields of energy and sustainability and assess their relevance for our projects. At the same time, you will continuously develop your knowledge in data science, process automation, and software development.
  
  

Who We Are Looking For

• You are currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's program in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, Economics, or a related field.

• You have initial experience in data science and strong analytical skills.

• You have basic knowledge of Python for data analysis.

• You have a good understanding of economic contexts.

• Initial practical work experience is an advantage.

• You are fluent in German and English.

• The internship takes place on-site in Berlin. Working from home on certain days is possible.

Your Goals in the First 90 Days

After Six Weeks: Onboarding

• You understand the business model, our products, customers, and key energy industry contexts.

• You are familiar with our data structures, simulation tools, and analysis processes and can independently conduct initial analyses with the support of the team.

In the Third Month: Ramp-up

• You will independently implement a project in one of the areas of data analysis, workflow automation, profitability analysis, or energy simulation.

• You will support the creation of customer-specific offers by analyzing energy, price, and commercial data and translating simulation results into clear recommendations for action.
