The opportunity

The IT Business Analyst is responsible for the day to day support of Gildan's suite of software applications by solving organizational information problems and requirements by analyzing requirements; designing solutions; recommending system controls and protocols and training end users. This position sits in the IT Department reporting directly to the Director, IT.

The role

• Determine operational objectives by studying business functions; gathering information; evaluating output requirements and formats.
• Design solutions by analyzing requirements; constructing workflow charts and diagrams; studying system capabilities; writing specifications.
• Improve systems by studying current practices and designing modifications.
• Recommend controls by identifying problems and writing improved procedures.
• Monitor project progress by tracking activity, resolving problems, publishing progress reports and recommending actions.
• Maintain system protocols by writing and updating procedures.
• Prepare technical reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
  
  

The Requirements

• A bachelor's degree in information technology.
• At least 5 years' experience in the analysis and design of corporate systems.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• Good interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently.
• Detail oriented.
