Welcome to the fascinating world of taxes! The cantonal tax office, together with the municipal tax offices, collects taxes for the federal government, the canton, and the municipalities. We support individuals and companies throughout the entire tax collection process. Around 800 qualified employees are committed to this at the Zurich Altstetten location.

We are looking for a motivated Business Analyst starting immediately or by appointment. In this demanding position, you will play an important role in the Project and Portfolio Management team at the Cantonal Tax Office. The role is characterized by exciting tasks and complex challenges with various stakeholders.

Your Tasks

You will work flexibly in all areas of the tax office and support the specialized departments in the methodical and strategic further development of their respective fields. You will gather requirements, identify weaknesses, and develop suggestions for improvement. In doing so, you will guide stakeholders through the requirements gathering process, ensure the business case, define acceptance criteria for change requests and projects, conduct tests, and organize user training if necessary. You will also advise clients on organizational optimizations and economic efficiency. In the coming years, the application landscape will be completely renewed; in this project too, you can leverage your business analysis experience and actively contribute to shaping future-proof solutions. In individual cases, you will lead projects and/or technical sub-projects.

Your Profile

You have proven experience as a Business Analyst and ideally have expertise in tax law. You also possess a higher education in Business Analysis, Business Administration, or Engineering. You can critically examine and categorize requirements from various stakeholders and use them for the optimal alignment of processes, IT support, and structures.
Certifications in HERMES and/or IPMA certifications are advantageous.
You can structure tasks, approach them systematically, and complete them on time. You are empathetic, have strong communication skills, and feel comfortable being the point of contact for the relevant stakeholders.
