Job description
Permanent position at New Monday · Full-time · Primarily remote within Germany · Occasional team meetings in Essen · Start as soon as possible
You understand complex processes, bring structure to requirements, and develop concrete solutions from them? At New Monday, we are looking for two Business Analysts for a client project that addresses a central challenge of the energy transition: grid expansion and the integration of generation facilities.
Within the project, a grid connection system is being created with three interconnected applications: a customer frontend, an installer frontend, and an administrator solution. Together with the involved business units and development teams, you will shape the functional foundations to make the end-to-end processes more efficient.
About New Monday
We are New Monday and support companies in developing digital products – from the initial idea, through analysis and conception, to design and technical implementation. For this, we combine expertise from Business Analysis, UX/UI Design, and Software Development.
As part of New Monday, you will bring your expertise directly into our clients' projects. There, you will typically work closely with the respective business units, Product Owners, and development teams as a member of the client team. You will make complex requirements understandable, question existing processes, and design solutions that help users and companies.
Your professional home remains New Monday: We support you during your project deployment, assist your further development, and create space for professional exchange and personal encounters within the team.
Your Responsibilities
You will analyze and structure process-related requirements and develop functional and technical implementation concepts.
You will translate business needs into clear, ready-to-implement specifications as the basis for technical realization.
You will familiarize yourself with complex system landscapes and their processes, identify optimization potentials, and document concrete action requirements.
You will process defined test packages, conduct reviews, and analyze occurring errors. In doing so, you will document and evaluate error patterns from a functional perspective.
You will develop solution options and recommendations for action and coordinate them with adjacent roles and business units.
You will keep an eye on the entire process across the three applications and help to continuously improve the utility of the solution.
What You Bring
Experience in Business Analysis or Requirements Engineering for complex IT projects.
The ability to systematically capture, question, and clearly document functional and process-related requirements.
Technical understanding to analyze interrelationships, dependencies, and interfaces within a system landscape.
Experience with creating specifications and implementation concepts, as well as collaborating with business units and development teams.
Experience with functional tests, reviews, and the analysis and evaluation of errors.
A structured, independent way of working and enjoyment in jointly developing viable solutions.
Fluent German and English language skills.
Willingness for occasional team meetings in Essen.
What awaits you at New Monday
Flexible work adapted to the project: In this project, you will primarily work remotely within Germany. Occasional team meetings take place on-site in Essen.
Flexibility and Trust: You organize your work independently and coordinate with your client team. At New Monday, we rely on short communication channels and trust.
Tasks with impact and scope for action: You will bring your experience directly into the client project and help shape digital processes that support grid expansion and the integration of generation facilities.
Personal support during project deployment: Even though your daily work takes place primarily within the client team, we remain in contact with you and support you with questions, challenges, and your development.
A team that also meets in person: Besides digital exchange, we consciously create space for regional meetings and joint coworking. Once or twice a year, the entire New Monday team comes together.
Time and budget for your development: We promote professional further training and exchange within the team. After the probationary period, you will have a training budget of €1,000 available for this purpose.
Development with perspective: We are currently working on a career development plan that aims to make development opportunities and next steps at New Monday more transparent. We regularly discuss your own goals and interests with you.
30 days of vacation and an additional two days for our team events.
What happens next
Initial acquaintance: We will tell you more about New Monday, the role, and the client project. You will tell us about your experience and can ask all the questions that are important to you.
In-depth exchange: We will talk in more detail about your past projects, your working style, and your experience in Business Analysis and Requirements Engineering.
Meeting within the client project: If it's a good fit for both sides, we will introduce you to the client. There you will get to know the project environment and the relevant contacts. We will transparently coordinate the next steps with you.
We look forward to receiving your application! You do not need a cover letter. Just send us your CV – even if you don't meet every requirement fully!
New Monday promotes equal opportunities for all employees. We welcome applications regardless of gender, origin, age, religion, belief, disability, or sexual identity. People with severe disabilities will be given preferential consideration in case of equal suitability, taking into account the circumstances of the individual case.
Your Entry
The position is limited to 12 months, comprises 40 hours per week, and includes a probationary period of 6 months. If you see yourself in the requirements, we look forward to your application via the platform.
