Job description

Permanent position at New Monday · Full-time · predominantly remote within Germany · occasional team meetings in Essen · start as soon as possible

Do you understand complex processes, bring structure to requirements, and develop concrete solutions from them? At New Monday, we are looking for two Business Analysts for a client project that addresses a central challenge of the energy transition: grid expansion and the integration of generation facilities.

In the project, a grid connection system is being created with three interconnected applications: a customer frontend, an installer frontend, and an administrator solution. Together with the involved business departments and development teams, you will shape the functional foundations to make the end-to-end processes more efficient.

About New Monday

We are New Monday and we support companies in the development of digital products – from the initial idea through analysis and conception to design and technical implementation. To do this, we combine expertise from business analysis, UX/UI design, and software development.

As part of New Monday, you bring your expertise directly into our clients' projects. There, you typically work closely with the respective business departments, product owners, and development teams as a member of the client team. You make complex requirements understandable, question existing processes, and design solutions that help users and companies.

Your professional home remains New Monday: We support you during your project deployment, assist your further development, and create space for professional exchange and personal encounters within the team.

Your tasks

  • You analyze and structure procedural requirements and develop functional and technical implementation concepts.

  • You translate functional needs into clear, implementation-ready specifications as a basis for technical realization.

  • You familiarize yourself with complex system landscapes and their processes, identify optimization potential, and document concrete action requirements.

  • You process defined test packages, conduct reviews, and analyze occurring errors. You document and evaluate error patterns from a functional perspective.

  • You develop solution options and recommendations for action and coordinate them with adjacent roles and business departments.

  • You keep an eye on the entire process across the three applications and help to continuously improve the solution's benefit.

What you bring

  • Experience in Business Analysis or Requirements Engineering for complex IT projects.

  • The ability to systematically capture, question, and understandably document functional and procedural requirements.

  • Technical understanding to analyze interdependencies, dependencies, and interfaces within a system landscape.

  • Experience with creating specifications and implementation concepts, as well as in collaborating with business departments and development teams.

  • Experience with functional tests, reviews, and the analysis and evaluation of errors.

  • A structured, independent way of working and enjoyment in jointly developing viable solutions.

  • Fluent German and English skills.

  • Willingness for occasional team meetings in Essen.

What awaits you at New Monday

  • Flexible working tailored to the project: In this project, you will work predominantly remotely within Germany. Occasional team meetings will take place on-site in Essen.

  • Flexibility and trust: You organize your work independently and coordinate with your client team. At New Monday, we rely on short communication channels and trust.

  • Tasks with impact and scope for design: You bring your experience directly into the client project and help shape digital processes that support grid expansion and the integration of generation facilities.

  • Personal support during project deployment: Even if your daily work primarily takes place within the client team, we stay in touch with you and support you with questions, challenges, and your development.

  • A team that also meets in person: In addition to digital exchange, we consciously create space for regional meetings and co-working. Once or twice a year, the entire New Monday team comes together.

  • Time and budget for your development: We promote professional development and team exchange. After the probationary period, you will have a training budget of €1,000 available for this.

  • Development with perspective: We are currently working on a career development plan that aims to make development opportunities and next steps at New Monday more transparent. We regularly discuss your own goals and interests with you.

  • 30 days of vacation and an additional two days for our team events.

Here's how it continues

  • Initial getting to know each other: We will tell you more about New Monday, the role, and the client project. You will tell us about your experience and can ask all questions that are important to you.

  • In-depth exchange: We will talk in more detail about your previous projects, your working method, and your experience in Business Analysis and Requirements Engineering.

  • Getting to know the client project: If it's a good fit for both sides, we will introduce you to the client. There you will get to know the project environment and the contact persons involved. We will transparently coordinate further steps with you.

We look forward to your application! You don't need a cover letter. Just send us your CV – even if you don't fully meet every requirement!

New Monday promotes equality for all employees. We welcome applications regardless of gender, origin, age, religion, belief, disability, or sexual identity. People with severe disabilities will be given preferential treatment in case of equal suitability, taking into account the circumstances of the individual case.

Your start

The position is limited to 12 months, comprises 40 hours per week, and includes a probationary period of 6 months. If you find yourself in the requirements, we look forward to your application via the platform.
