Business Analyst (Cheque Clearance)

• Elicit, analyze, and document business, functional, and non-functional requirements for cheque clearing processes in Singapore.
• Translate regulatory, operational, and business needs into clear and structured requirements.
• Develop detailed process flows, use cases, and business rules for cheque lifecycle management
• Apply strong domain knowledge of Singapore cheque clearing mechanisms, including:

1. Clearing and settlement cycles
2. Presentment and return processes
3. Cut-off times and exception handling
4. Dishonoured cheques and adjustments

• Ensure solutions comply with local clearing rules, MAS guidelines, and industry standards (e.g., CTS/MEPS+ touchpoints where relevant).
• Support analysis of cheque truncation, image-based clearing, and reconciliation processes where applicable.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Business Analyst in Singapore Cheque Clearing

• Strong understanding of:

1. Singapore cheque clearing rules and processes
2. Clearing timelines, cut-offs, and settlement cycles
3. Exception handling and reconciliation

• Experience working in banking or financial services environments
• Strong documentation, analysis, and communication skills
