Business Analyst Banking (m/w/d)

We are looking for an experienced developer, to strengthen our team as Business Analyst Banking (m/w/d). As a Business Analyst with a banking focus, you will work in challenging projects for our customers from the banking and financial services sector. You understand technical processes, regulatory requirements, and bank-specific connections and translate these together with IT and project teams into executable solutions.

You act as a central interface between departments, IT, project management, and external partners, guiding our customers through the entire project lifecycle.

Your tasks include:

• Participation in complex projects in the banking and financial services sector

• Analysis, structuring, and documentation of banking requirements

• Close cooperation with departmental teams

• Creation of concept papers, process descriptions, use cases, and decision-making templates

• Identification of requirements and documentation using user stories

• Evaluation of regulatory and technical requirements (e.g. MaRisk, BAIT, BCBS, Meldewesen)

• Translation of banking requirements into IT-specific specifications

• Responsibility for specific areas or work packages within projects

• Accompaniment of test and acceptance processes from a technical perspective

• Counseling our customers on process optimization.

Qualification

Your profile convinces us:

• Completed university degree or equivalent training in the field of economics, banking, business informatics, or financial services

• At least 5 years of professional experience as a Business Analyst, concept developer, or consultant in the banking sector

• Very good understanding of banking processes, e.g. in one or more of the following areas:

• Credit business (private / commercial)

• Payment transactions

• Securities and deposit business

• Risk management or reporting

• Experience in taking on and modeling technical requirements

• Knowledge of regulatory requirements and banking supervisory guidelines

• Experience in cooperation with IT teams and project management

• Ideally, knowledge of standard bank applications or SAP

• Experience in classical and/or agile project methods

• Analytical, structured working style and high quality awareness

• Excellent communication skills and counseling competence

• Very good German and good English language skills in writing and speaking.
