Business Analyst - Bankbilanzierung & Jahresabschluss (m/w/d)

Your role

As Business Analyst (m/w/d), you are the professional interface between banking expertise and software development. You analyze requirements around the Bilanz- und Jahresabschlusserstellung von Banken, prepare these structured for development and shape the further development of modern software solutions in the financial services sector actively with.

Together with Product Owners, Development Teams, Departments, and external Stakeholders, you ensure that functional requirements are described clearly, technically feasible, and high-quality realized.

Tasks

• Analyze, take up, and document functional requirements in close cooperation with banks, departments, and other Stakeholders
• Consultation and support regarding questions around the balance sheet and annual financial statement preparation according to HGB
• Participation in the conceptual design and further development of a modern software solution for bank annual financial statements
• Translation of functional requirements into structured user stories and technical implementation concepts for Development Teams
• Analyze and optimize functional processes around accounting and annual financial statements
• Support Product Owners in backlog maintenance, refinements, and prioritization
• Preparation of functional documentation, analyses, and presentations (e.g., with Excel and PowerPoint)
• Participation in agile projects and assumption of functional responsibility for sub-projects
• Accompaniment of customers during the introduction of new functions and applications

Qualification

• Degree in Business Administration, Business Informatics or a comparable qualification
• Fundamental knowledge of Bilanzierung nach HGB, ideally in the area of annual financial statements for banks or credit institutions
• Experience in requirements management, Requirements Engineering or business analysis
• High IT affinity and understanding of cooperation between departments and software development
• Ideal experience with software solutions in the field of bank accounting or annual financial statements
• Experience with agile working methods (e.g., Scrum)
• Safe handling of Jira, Confluence, and very good knowledge of Microsoft Excel
• Structured, self-responsible work style and excellent communication skills
• Very good German language skills in writing and speaking
