Building Services Manager

11th May, 2026 We are working with a leading main contractor (nationally recognised for delivering high-quality commercial projects) to appoint an experienced Building Services Manager. This is a key role within the project delivery team, responsible for managing all mechanical, electrical, fire and plumbing services from pre-construction through to commissioning and handover. You will work closely with site teams, consultants, and subcontractors to ensure building services are delivered safely and efficiently, in accordance with relevant industry standards and regulations. The successful candidate will be expected to demonstrate a strong understanding of the construction process, as well as excellent communication and leadership skills. Key responsibilities include: • Managing all aspects of building services from pre-construction through to commissioning and handover. • Coordinating with site teams, consultants, and subcontractors to ensure building services are delivered safely and efficiently. • Ensuring compliance with relevant industry standards and regulations. • Developing and implementing effective project plans and schedules. • Managing budgets and resources effectively. • Providing technical guidance and support to site teams and other stakeholders. • Maintaining accurate records and reporting on project progress. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in building services management, with experience of working on large-scale commercial projects. A degree in a relevant field (such as construction management or engineering) would be desirable, along with a Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB) qualification or equivalent.
