Building Quantity Surveyor / Estimator- Construction Industry

A dynamic construction company is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor/Estimator to join their team in Cape Town.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
• 5–8 years’ experience in Quantity Surveying / Estimating within the construction industry.
• Proven knowledge of construction methods, materials, and industry practices.
• Strong command of MS Excel, MS Projects, and estimating software - CCS Candy etc.
• Excellent numerical, analytical, and communication skills.
• Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
• Sound knowledge of industry regulations and best practices.
• Cost Estimation: Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates.
• Interpret drawings and specifications to define scope and material requirements.
• Tendering: Develop and submit competitive tender proposals.
• Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors for pricing.
• Cost Control: Track and monitor project expenses.
• Maintain and manage project budgets to ensure financial targets are met.
