Location: Various locations across British Columbia As a Building Official/Chief Building Official (CBO), you will oversee and ensure that all building projects, renovations, and demolitions are in compliance with relevant building codes, regulations, and standards. This includes conducting inspections, issuing permits, and enforcing compliance with building codes. You will also be responsible for providing guidance and education to building owners, developers, and contractors on building code requirements and best practices. Additionally, you will be expected to stay up-to-date with changes in building codes, regulations, and standards, and to apply this knowledge to your work. You will also be responsible for managing and supervising a team of building officials and inspectors, and for providing leadership and guidance to them. You will also be expected to maintain accurate and detailed records of all inspections, permits, and compliance activities, and to provide regular reports to senior management and other stakeholders.
