Responsibilities

• You will independently manage our financial accounting: Booking all business transactions (accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger accounts), account reconciliations, and clarification of open items.
• You will prepare and book payroll and prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• You will process payment transactions including bank reconciliations and keep an eye on payment deadlines and dunning processes.
• You will ensure compliance with tax regulations (VAT, payroll tax) and prepare tax returns.
• You will work with our accounting software, drive the digitalization of our processes, and ensure clean data quality.
• You will create offers, order confirmations, and invoices for our customers.
• You will, in representation, take on selected HR topics.
• If interested, you will support management in controlling.
• You will work closely with management, HR, and team assistance and will be our central point of contact for all accounting questions.

Qualifications

• You have completed commercial training, for example, as a tax assistant or with further training as a financial accountant, or possess comparable qualifications.
• You have several years of experience in independent financial accounting, including the preparation of financial statements.
• You are familiar with payroll accounting and have solid knowledge of VAT and payroll tax law.
• You are proficient in using accounting software.
• Experience in liaising with health insurance companies and social security institutions is a plus.
• You have very good German language skills (C1).
• You work precisely, structured, and reliably, and naturally handle confidential data with discretion.
• You are keen to question processes and think digitally, rather than doing things just because they have always been done that way.
