Your job as BU Manager Building Materials & Vertical Transport at RECO

As Manager Building Materials & Vertical Transport, you are the linchpin within our business unit for temporary rental solutions in construction. Think of scaffolding and support structures, and (construction) lifts. You will receive the space and responsibility to further build, professionalize, and grow this business.

You move easily between strategy and practice. One day you are sitting at the table with a client to develop a new partnership, the next day you discuss the progress of a challenging project with your team. You maintain an overview, make decisions, and ensure that sales, operations, and technology align well.

What will you do:

🛠️ Managing team & operations
You provide direction to the team, create clarity, and ensure that everyone can perform optimally. You are visible, approachable, and know how to get people on board.

📋 Monitoring projects from A to Z
You maintain control over planning, execution, quality, and finances. You see where opportunities or risks lie and intervene before they become a problem.

🤝 Building customers and relationships
You maintain existing relationships and actively seek new clients and collaborations. You understand what is happening with clients and know how to translate this into smart solutions.

🔧 Technology & content
You don't have to tighten every bolt yourself, but you have sufficient technical knowledge and interest to think along about complex issues and practical solutions, or you are willing to learn.

📈 Growing & improving
You will further build the business unit and bring structure, scalability, and professionalism. You optimize processes, identify areas for improvement, and ensure that we work smarter and smarter.

Requirements

What do you bring?

👍 Full-time (40 hours per week) availability;

👍 Experience in a managerial, commercial, or operational role within construction, rental, equipment, or a comparable technical environment.

👍 An entrepreneurial mindset: you see opportunities and take action.

👍 Strong communication and organizational skills.

👍 Affinity with building materials, scaffolding, support, and/or vertical transport.

👍 You are results-oriented, but do not lose sight of quality and collaboration.

👍 You can switch easily between client, colleague, project, and management.

👍 You love responsibility and get energy from building something that is still under full development.
