Bricklayer

We are seeking a motivated and reliable Bricklayer to join our growing construction team. The successful applicant will work on a variety of residential, commercial, and renovation projects, delivering high-quality brick and block masonry work while maintaining excellent safety standards.

About the Role

As a Qualified Bricklayer, you will be responsible for completing brick and block work to a high standard while working efficiently and safely as part of our team.

Key Responsibilities

• Lay bricks, concrete blocks, stone and other masonry materials according to plans and specifications.
• Read and interpret construction drawings and building plans.
• Measure and mark reference lines for masonry work.
• Prepare mortar mixes and apply them correctly.
• Construct walls, partitions, retaining walls, fireplaces, arches and other masonry structures.
• Repair and restore existing brickwork and masonry.
• Check vertical and horizontal alignment using levels and measuring tools.
• Cut, shape and trim bricks or blocks to required sizes.
• Install damp-proof courses and insulation materials where required.
• Maintain a clean and safe worksite while complying with Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) requirements.
• Work collaboratively with site supervisors, tradespeople and apprentices to meet project deadlines.

What We’re Looking For

• Qualified Bricklayer (Certificate III in Bricklaying/Blocklaying or equivalent experience).
• Proven experience in residential and/or commercial bricklaying of atleast 1-2 years.
• Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship.
• Reliable, punctual and hardworking.
• Ability to work well within a team.
• Construction White Card.
• Current driver’s licence and reliable transport.
