Job description

We are building humanoid systems: Full Stack, from hardware and electronics to software and manufacturing, all in-house in Berlin.

At Cell Labs, we are pushing the boundaries of what robotics can achieve. Our goal is clear: to build systems that empower people instead of replacing them. Our technology is already in use by leading industrial customers and partners. Now, our own product is on the verge of launching.

The quiet phase is over. We are looking for people who want to get in early, take responsibility, and build what others only talk about.

Location: Berlin · Start: Immediately · Work Model: On-site · Employment: Full-time

Your Responsibilities

  • Brand Development: You will further develop our existing visual identity and ensure a consistent brand presence across all channels. You will also create design guidelines and directly usable templates for presentations, documents, and social media.

  • Digital Design: You will design our digital brand presence for investors, customers, and partners. This includes our website, including the upcoming launch, as well as presentations, newsletters, and digital data rooms – all based on a consistent design system.

  • Print & Merchandise: You will design brochures, product data sheets, business stationery, and signage for our offices and workshops. This also includes merchandise that our team will enjoy wearing and using – from hoodies to stickers.

  • Product Launch & Events: You will develop key visuals and campaign materials for our upcoming product launch and design trade fair stands, banners, and displays. You will coordinate the collaboration with printers and exhibition stand builders and support on-site setup if necessary.

  • Social Media Design: You will create graphics for LinkedIn, Instagram, X, and YouTube – from posts and carousels to stories, banners, and thumbnails. You will adapt the design to the respective platform and showcase our robots compellingly.

  • Cross-functional Collaboration: You will support other company departments with their design needs, for example in recruiting and employer branding, technical documentation, press materials and PR, as well as internal events.

Your Profile

  • Education: You have completed a degree in Graphic Design, Communication Design, Brand Design, or a comparable field of study. Alternatively, you have acquired your skills independently and convince us with your portfolio.

  • Work Experience: You bring several years of experience in design – whether from an agency, a design studio, a company, or your freelance work. What matters to us is not where you have worked, but what you have designed so far.

  • Print Production: You know how to create professional print data and have already collaborated with printing companies. Color proofs, paper selection, and production deadlines are familiar to you.

  • Design Tools: You work proficiently with Figma and the Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop) and are familiar with Pitch, Google Slides, PowerPoint, and Keynote. Experience with Webflow or Framer is a plus.

  • Work Style: You work independently, pragmatically, and solution-oriented. You prefer to quickly develop a first draft and improve it step by step, rather than getting lost in details. You maintain an overview even with multiple parallel projects and know when a result is ready for implementation.

  • Language Skills: You speak fluent German and English.

Benefits

  • Shape Our Brand Presence: Whether it's the website, trade fair stand, or investor presentation – your work will significantly determine how our company and our robots are perceived externally. You will receive a lot of creative freedom and can actively further develop our visual identity.

  • Everything Under One Roof: Our office, workshop, and testing facilities are located in the same building in Berlin-Kreuzberg. If you want to better understand a technical function or see a robot in action, you can communicate directly with our engineers – without long coordination paths.

  • Room for Your Development: We offer you paid learning time and a personal development budget for courses, design conferences, and the tools you need. You can try new things and work on projects that will enrich your portfolio as our company's recognition grows.

  • Individual Benefits: You can put together your own benefits package – for example, from offers related to mobility, health, catering, or fitness. Additionally, you will receive a paid day off per year for volunteer work or a personal passion project.

How to Apply

Simply send us a link to your portfolio. Ideally, show us a project where you developed a visual design system that works both digitally and in print. We would appreciate a brief insight into your approach.

A cover letter is not required.

Our Application Process: Get-to-know-you meeting → Design Challenge → Portfolio Deep Dive with Founder → Half-day visit on-site with a small design task → Job offer

We are developing robots for everyone and want to build a team that brings together diverse perspectives and experiences. What matters to us are your skills and your potential. Therefore, we expressly encourage applications from people who are currently underrepresented in design and tech professions.

Even if you don't meet every requirement but are convinced that the position is right for you, we look forward to your application!
