Branch Security Officer

Job Introduction: Branch Security Officer (Senior / Management level) G4S Cash Solutions (SA), a leading provider of integrated cash management solutions, has a vacancy for Branch Security Officer in George. The Branch Security Officer would be assisting the Branch Manager by maintaining effective branch security and ensuring that standard security operating procedures are adhered to by all relevant staff The successful incumbent is a self-starter with a proven track record in maintaining company standards and expectations. Key responsibilities include: • Maintaining effective branch security, including monitoring CCTV cameras, conducting regular patrols of the premises, and responding to alarms and incidents as required; • Ensuring that standard security operating procedures are adhered to by all relevant staff, including cash handlers, cashiers, and other employees; • Conducting regular risk assessments and identifying potential vulnerabilities in the branch's security posture; • Developing and implementing strategies to mitigate identified risks and improve overall branch security; • Maintaining accurate records of incidents, alarms, and other security-related events; • Collaborating with the Branch Manager to develop and implement effective security policies and procedures; • Providing training and guidance to staff on security protocols and procedures; • Ensuring compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards; • Maintaining a high level of situational awareness and being proactive in identifying potential security threats; The successful candidate will have: • A minimum of 3 years' experience in a security-related role, preferably in the cash management or financial services sector; • A recognized qualification in security management or a related field (e.g. PSIRA, SIA); • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; • Ability to work independently and as part of a team; • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills; • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion; • Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as required.
