The Araucária Foundation, in partnership with IEL Paraná, offers Paraná companies an innovative program that connects their business to professional doctors. The Doctors Innovating in the Business Sector program will provide technical, scientific, and methodological expertise, essential for driving growth, innovation, and increasing your company's sustainability, strengthening its position in the competitive landscape.
The program offers scholarships for the insertion of doctors in Paraná companies, promoting scientific, technological, and innovation development. The fellows will work directly in the company, contributing cutting-edge knowledge and customized solutions for the market, anchored in science and robust evidence.

About the Opportunity:
Do you want to work directly on optimizing industrial operations and contribute to structuring a robust production scheduling methodology? This is an opportunity for those seeking to apply advanced knowledge in Production Planning and Control (PCP)/ Production Scheduling, process analysis, and continuous improvement, supporting MARKAL in systematizing a replicable production planning and control model, with a direct impact on efficiency, productivity, and operational reliability.
The project focuses on reviewing and optimizing the process flow, identifying bottlenecks, standardizing routines, and implementing practical solutions for productivity gains, connecting method, data, and execution on the factory floor. Academic Background:
Production Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Production Management, or related fields
Thesis defense within the last 5 years at most.
Project: OPTIMIZED PRODUCTION MANAGEMENT - MANAGEMENT X PRODUCTIVITY
Main Activities:
· Analyze, model, and optimize production processes
· Conduct time and motion studies
· Review industrial flows and map improvement opportunities
· Identify bottlenecks that impact productivity and efficiency
· Structure and apply scientific methodologies in the factory environment
· Translate Production Engineering concepts into practical solutions on the factory floor
· Interact continuously with Production Planning and Control, Production, Engineering, and Maintenance
· Perform ERP system parameterization
· Develop prototypes of tools and jigs to support production
· Support the implementation of Lean, Kaizen, and Six Sigma practices
· Contribute to the consolidation of a continuous improvement culture
· Support optimized production management and the systematization of production scheduling
· Act technically to increase productivity and standardize methods
Required Knowledge:
· Doctorate in Production Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Production Management, or related fields
· Mastery in production process analysis
· Solid knowledge in PCP (Production Planning and Control)
· Proven ability to apply scientific methods in the industrial environment
· Skill in interacting with multidisciplinary teams
· Technical reading and interpretation skills
· Basic knowledge of continuous improvement tools and process organization
· Analytical profile and systemic vision
· Aptitude for working in industrial environments with complex technical demands
Desirable Knowledge
· Experience in production process modeling and industrial flow optimization
· Practical application of Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, and Six Sigma
· Data analysis with Power BI, Minitab, Python, or R
· Knowledge of industrial indicators: OEE, MTBF, and MTTR
· 2D and 3D technical drawing (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar)
· Experience in ERP system parameterization
· Ability to develop prototypes, devices, and jigs to support production
· Technical and didactic leadership
· Competence in knowledge transfer (training/replicating methodologies)
