Boilermaker/Mechanical Fitter

Job description

Our client is a well-established, family-operated Engineering firm renowned for delivering high-quality design, fabrication, installation and maintenance services. They provide full end-to-end solutions servicing the water infrastructure, road/rail, government, energy and defence sectors throughout South East Queensland. Due to new contracts being awarded, they are looking to expand their growing team and are seeking Trade Qualified Boilermakers and Mechanical Fitters to start NOW!

Your New Role:
  • Working with a variety of metals including aluminium, stainless steel, mild steel & heavy structural – MIG / TIG welding
  • Interpret and work from detailed technical drawings and specifications
  • Install, assemble, and maintain mechanical equipment and piping systems within water and wastewater treatment plants
  • Fit, align, and repair pumps, valves, pipework, motors, gearboxes, and other rotating equipment
  • Fabricate and install components using hand tools, power tools, and workshop machinery
What We’re Looking For:
  • Trade Qualification: Certificate III in Engineering – Fabrication/Mechanical Trade or equivalent
  • Experience with a variety of metals & welding techniques
  • Strong work ethic and reliability
  • Proven experience with references to back up your ability
  • Site installation / maintenance experience is a bonus
  • Already have or be willing to obtain HEP A, HEP B & TETANUS vaccinations (site specific requirement)
  • Manual Driver’s License, EWP, Confined Spaces or Forklift tickets (desirable but not essential)
