Body & Paint Technician

Job description
This position is based in Ireland.
Repairs damaged vehicle bodies and applies paint finishes to restore vehicles to their pre-accident condition or for customization. This includes dent removal, panel replacement, frame straightening, sanding, priming, and color matching.
Key Duties:
- Assess vehicle damage and plan repair strategies for bodywork.
- Perform panel beating, dent removal, panel replacement, and structural repairs.
- Prepare surfaces for painting (sanding, priming, masking).
- Mix and apply automotive paints, clear coats, and protective finishes.
- Color match paint to existing vehicle finish.
- Inspect finished work for quality and adherence to standards.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Vocational training or apprenticeship in automotive body repair and painting.
- Proven experience as a body and paint technician.
- Proficiency with various hand and power tools, welding equipment, and paint spraying equipment.
- Knowledge of automotive structural repair and painting techniques.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to match colors accurately.
- Physical dexterity and ability to work in various positions.
- Valid driver's license.
