BMS Service Technician

About our role As a BMS Service Technician for Johnson Controls', you will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of building management systems (BMS) in commercial and industrial facilities across Brisbane. This full-time role is an integral part of our team, ensuring that our clients' building systems are operating efficiently and reliably. What you'll be doing Performing preventative maintenance and troubleshooting on BMS equipment, including HVAC systems, lighting controls, and energy management systems. Conducting routine inspections, identifying issues, and implementing solutions to maintain optimal system performance. Diagnosing and repairing faults, replacing faulty components, and calibrating systems to meet operational requirements. Collaborating with clients and other team members to ensure seamless service delivery and customer satisfaction. Maintaining accurate service records, including work performed, parts used, and time spent on each job. Adhering to all safety protocols and company policies while on-site. Participating in ongoing training to stay up-to-date with the latest BMS technologies and industry best practices. What we look for Certificate III or higher in relevant fields (Electrical, HVAC, or similar). Demonstrated experience in the maintenance and repair of BMS systems. Strong understanding of building automation systems, including hardware, software, and networking. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams. Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients and team members. A valid driver's license and the ability to travel within the Brisbane area. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Commitment to safety and quality. Nice to have Experience with specific BMS platforms (e.g., Johnson Controls, Siemens, Schneider Electric). Experience in commercial or industrial building environments.
