Billing Officer

We are looking for a Billing Officer. In this role, you are responsible for the entire billing process and play a crucial role in the financial administrative flow of our company.

As Billing Officer, you ensure that billing is performed accurately and on time. You work closely with various teams within the company, such as the sales- and finance departments, to ensure that all customer data and transactions are correctly recorded.

• Process and control of customer invoices.
• Maintenance of accurate customer data and payment information.
• Communicate with customers regarding billing questions and payment terms.
• Contribute to the improvement of the billing process and procedures.
• Report on outstanding claims and payment statuses.
• Support in monthly- and annual reports within the financial department.

Requirements

We are looking for a driven and meticulous Billing Officer with a passion for numbers and customer orientation.

• You have a bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
• At least 2 years of experience in a billing- or administrative role.
• You have strong analytical skills and an eye for detail.
• You speak and write fluent Dutch and have a good knowledge of English.
• You are proficient in MS Office, especially Excel.
• You are proactive, can work independently well, and are a team player.
• Experience with billing and/or administration in the maritime sector
• In-depth knowledge of VAT- and accounting legislation is a plus point
