Responsibilities Provide verbal interpretation services to facilitate effective communication between patients and healthcare providers in medical settings. This includes interpreting for patients who are non-English speaking and need assistance communicating with healthcare providers. Provide written interpretation services to facilitate effective communication between patients and healthcare providers in medical settings. This includes translating written documents, such as medical records and discharge instructions, from the patient's native language to English. Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure that patients receive the best possible care. This includes working with healthcare providers to develop and implement effective communication strategies that meet the needs of patients who are non-English speaking. Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of medical terminology and procedures to ensure accurate interpretation. Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay current with industry developments and best practices.
