We are Impuls Energy Trading – a young, innovative energy trading company with a focus on renewable energies and flexible units like batteries.

Since 2023, we have been trading at the EPEX Spot and now manage over 2,800 facilities with more than 3,000 MW. In a short time, we have become a relevant player in the German energy market – and are growing profitably since 2024.

The short-term energy trade plays a key role in an energy system with 100% renewable energies. Volatility, uncertainties, and real-time dynamics require quick decisions and strong teams. As Portfolio Manager (m/w/d) at Impuls, you bring the energy transition directly into market dynamics. You keep an eye on the processes of a highly dynamic portfolio and ensure that procedures also work reliably under volatility – a crucial contribution to a functioning energy system.

Tasks

• You are responsible for the operational implementation and monitoring of central market and business processes, ensuring that our portfolio runs reliably in day-to-day operations.
• You keep an eye on our production portfolio at all times, recognize anomalies early, and ensure high-quality data and processes.
• You work on evaluating and pricing assets and portfolios, actively bringing the pricing into operational exchange with customers.
• You develop existing processes and systems continuously further and make them more robust, efficient, and scalable.
• You analyze complex relationships and develop practical, implementable solutions.
• You work closely with customers, market partners, and service providers together, ensuring functional interfaces in operational operation.

Qualification

• Completed studies in energy economics, engineering, business administration, or a comparable field
• First professional experience in the energy sector, ideally in portfolio management or energy logistical processes
• Outstanding analytical thinking and a secure handling of data and complex relationships
• Structured, independent working style and a high sense of responsibility in day-to-day operations
• Interest in commercial questions like pricing and a good feeling for economic relationships
• Communication strength and joy in cooperation with customers, market partners, and service providers
• You have a desire for a dynamic environment where processes are constantly developing and you can actively shape them
• A secure handling of Excel; experiences with Python, SQL or energy-related systems are a plus
• You master German and English fluently.
