Financial Accountant (m/w/d)

In the name of our client – an established and growing management consultancy with a focus on restructuring, transformation, and management – we are looking for you as a Financial Accountant (m/w/d) with optional focus on payroll accounting.

The company works across industries with medium-sized companies and DAX corporations together and often takes over interim and leadership responsibilities during transformation and restructuring phases. The team collaboration is characterized by trust, openness, and professional proximity – internally and externally.

Tasks

• Solo processing of financial accounting (creditors, debtors, banks)
• Preparation of monthly closing accounts and support for annual closing account preparation
• Alignment of open items and maintenance of booking accounts
• Optional: Conducting payroll accounting and personnel data management
• Preliminary preparation for audits and ensuring compliance with statutory requirements
• Closely working together with the management team and internal specialist departments
• Participation in process optimizations and further development of standards in accounting

Qualification

What we are looking for:

• Diploma in Taxation or Accounting
• Multiple years of experience in financial accounting or high willingness to learn
• Familiarity with MS Office, especially Excel
• Structured and precise working method and developed numerical understanding
• Team spirit, sense of responsibility, and initiative
• Very good German language skills, good English language skills an advantage
