Your Role

As an Accountant (all genders), we are looking for a versatile and dedicated individual with a keen eye for detail. Become part of our open and warm 10-person Accounting team at Sunday Natural and work closely with our Head of Accounting. With the growth of our Accounting team, this is a senior role for someone who takes genuine responsibility for the team's daily work and acts as an experienced point of contact for the team.

Your Responsibilities

• You are responsible for and maintain the general ledger and control automatically generated outgoing invoices in our ERP system Odoo

• You will take the lead in preparing monthly financial statements, support with year-end closing according to HGB, and ensure that all balance sheet reconciliations, accruals, deferred charges, and provisions are correct, independent, and timely

• You are responsible for preparing VAT pre-declarations and coordinating with external tax advisors and financial authorities

• You prepare intercompany invoices and payments, reconcile them, and thus ensure proper intercompany accounting

• You will support with IFRS-relevant reporting topics and contribute your expertise to the further development of our group consolidation

• You are the first point of contact for the Accounting team regarding technical questions, conduct regular content checks of bookings prepared by the team, and actively collaborate with cross-functional teams

Your Profile

• You have completed vocational training, ideally in accounting, as a tax assistant, or have completed a commercial degree, as well as at least 5 years of professional experience in Accounting/Finance

• You have sound knowledge of commercial accounting law (HGB) as well as experience with IFRS and proficient user skills in Excel and ERP systems

• You work in a structured, careful, and proactive manner and can integrate well into an existing team

• You have a strong interest in the digitalization and automation of our Finance processes

• Ideally, you have experience dealing with international tax issues (e.g., UK, Poland, Switzerland, Czech Republic), and prior experience in a D2C business is also an advantage

• You thrive in a dynamic scale-up environment and are motivated by the challenges of a growing, internationally oriented company

• You have German language skills at C2 level, as well as fluent English skills (C1), and are based in Berlin or the surrounding area
