With around 140 colleagues across Freiburg, Munich, Vienna, and Porto (and remote), we cover the full spectrum from Consulting and UX Research to UX/UI Design, Software Development, and Digital Marketing — always learning in close collaboration with our clients.

You ensure that our numbers are correct, financial statements are prepared cleanly, and our financial processes function reliably. You will work independently, enjoy delving into complex accounting and tax issues, and are eager to actively develop processes. The position is a fixed-term parental leave replacement.

What you will do:

• You will independently manage ongoing financial accounting.

• You will be responsible for preparing monthly and annual financial statements according to HGB (German Commercial Code).

• You will reconcile balance sheet and P&L accounts and ensure clean account management.

• You will process accounts payable, accounts receivable, and fixed asset accounting.

• You will perform intercompany reconciliations and intercompany charges between our companies.

• You will prepare VAT returns and handle further tax-related questions in collaboration with our external tax advisor.

• You will work with auditors, tax advisors, and internal contacts.

• You will contribute to the further development and digitalization of our financial processes.

• You will prepare evaluations, analyses, and reports, and present relevant information comprehensibly.

What we expect:

• You have completed commercial training, for example, as a tax assistant, industrial clerk, or in a comparable field.

• Further training as a Certified Accountant (IHK) is an advantage.

• You have practical experience in accounting, especially in financial accounting and in monthly and annual financial statements.

• You are proficient with DATEV and Excel.

• You have very good knowledge of HGB accounting and a solid understanding of German tax regulations, especially in the area of Value Added Tax.

• You work in a structured, meticulous, and independent manner.

• You communicate confidently in German and English, even on complex tax and accounting matters.
