Senior Accountant (m/f/d)

To strengthen the Finance team, we are looking for a dedicated Senior Accountant (m/f/d) as soon as possible.

Responsibilities

• Independent preparation and analysis of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with HGB (German Commercial Code)
• Support in the preparation of consolidated financial statements and in consolidation processes within the corporate group
• Monitoring and continuous improvement of closing and reporting processes regarding quality and on-time delivery
• Support for central areas of financial accounting and ensuring smooth operations
• Reconciliation of general ledger and sub-ledger accounts as well as intercompany transactions
• Competent interface for external auditors, consultants, and internal departments
• Organization and accompaniment of annual financial statement, tax, and operational audits
• Technical support for management on financial and accounting issues
• Involvement in tax matters and the preparation of official reports
• Identification of optimization potential within financial processes and their implementation
• Further development of digital workflows, reporting tools, and automation solutions
• Participation in company-wide projects related to finance, reporting, and compliance

Qualifications

• Completed university degree with a focus on finance, accounting, or controlling, or a comparable qualification, such as a certified public accountant (IHK)
• Several years of practical experience in accounting, financial accounting, or financial statement preparation
• In-depth knowledge of accounting according to HGB and confident handling of annual financial statements
• Knowledge of group accounting or consolidation processes is an advantage
• Confident demeanor with external auditors, tax advisors, and internal stakeholders
• User skills in ERP systems, ideally in the environment of modern Microsoft solutions
• Very good Excel skills and a strong understanding of numbers and processes
• Enthusiasm for digital transformation, process optimization, and modern finance organizations
• Structured, self-directed, and goal-oriented work style
• Strong communication skills, analytical thinking, and a high degree of responsibility
• Good English skills for communication with international contacts
