Accountant (m/w/d)

We are looking for an experienced accountant (m/w/d) at our client's location in Bremen.

The company is a well-established, internationally operating business from the technical sector. Our client convinces through long-standing experience, high market presence, and strong focus on quality and continuous further development. To strengthen the finance team, we are looking for an experienced person who can bring their expertise in accounting and actively contribute to optimizing financial processes.

Tasks

• Sole responsibility for creating monthly, quarterly, and annual statements according to HGB
• Participation in preparing the consolidated statement, including consolidation of subsidiaries
• Ensuring high-quality closing and timely reporting processes
• Responsibility for selected areas of ongoing financial accounting
• Implementation of account, intercompany, and balance sheet adjustments
• Contact person for auditors, tax consultants, business auditors, and internal specialist departments
• Preliminary preparation and accompaniment of annual closing and business audits
• Supporting the management in financial, economic, and process-related questions
• Participation in tax-related topics and statistical reports
• Analysis, optimization, and digitalization of accounting and finance processes
• Active shaping of efficient workflows, automations, and modern reporting structures
• Participation in cross-sectional projects and special themes

Qualification

• SUCCESSFUL completion of a business studies degree with a focus on accounting, finance, or controlling or a further education to become a certified accountant (IHK)
• Multiple years of professional experience in the financial and accounting sector of a medium-sized company or group
• Fundamental knowledge of accounting and statement preparation according to HGB
• Experience in consolidated reporting, advantageous
• Safe appearance when dealing with auditors and tax consultants
• Good ERP knowledge, preferably in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central
• Very good Excel skills and a strong affinity for numbers and processes
• Interest in digitalization, automation, and modern finance structures
• Self-motivated, structured, and solution-oriented work style
• Entrepreneurial thinking, communication strength, and sense of responsibility
• Good English skills for cooperation with international companies
