Accountant (m/w/d)

Part-time or full-time | Central Hamburg | Mid-sized company with clear edges and clean accounting

In the name of our client, we are looking for an Accountant (m/w/d) for a well-established mid-sized company in central Hamburg. Approximately 120-180 employees, short distances, good conditions, and a finance team that prefers to work neatly rather than loudly.

Our client is a grown Hamburger mid-sized company: professionally set up, economically stable, and large enough to have exciting topics - but small enough that you don't need to schedule a meeting with three departments and an executive committee for every inquiry.

We are looking for someone who takes numbers seriously, gets accounts clean, and still doesn't sound like an Excel error message. North German said: reasonable, clear, reliable.

Aufgaben

About it

In this role, you will take on central tasks in financial accounting and significantly contribute to monthly, quarterly, and annual statements. You will keep track of accounts, provisions, allocations, and evaluations, ensuring that many numbers become a reliable overall picture.

You will work closely with the finance leadership, controlling, external auditors, and other internal partners. It's not about corporate romance with 14 approval loops, but about genuine operational responsibility in the mid-sized company.

Your tasks

• You will prepare and support monthly, quarterly, and annual statements according to HGB.
• You will process ongoing business transactions in financial accounting and review accounts, bookings, and reconciliations.
• You will take on topics like provisions, allocations, asset accounting, value-added tax, and evaluations - depending on experience and focus.
• You will work closely with auditors, accountants, controlling, and internal departments.
• You will contribute to process improvements, especially where things still run according to the motto
