What will you do?

Earn good money and gain work experience that you can really benefit from.

You choose the hours you work. During these hours, you will prepare orders that customers have placed through our Online Shop.

Your tasks:

• You will collect orders, pack them, and prepare them for pickup or shipment. Your colleagues from the Logistics department will replenish the stock.
• You will assist customers who come to pick up their orders. So they can get started with their impressive projects.
• Is help needed with loading the order? You will roll up your sleeves and be ready to help!

Colleagues of all ages and from diverse backgrounds work in the Logistics department. Their common denominator? They are flexible, know how to get things done, and help each other.

What do you bring?

• You are available up to 16 hours per week. You choose how many hours you want to work per week.
• You enjoy learning everything, absolutely everything, about our assortment.
• You have a smooth talker.
• You are a real go-getter; working in the evenings and/or weekends is no problem for you.
• At HORNBACH, your safety is very important to us. There is a lot of forklift traffic and a saw in our branches, which is why it is important that you are 16 years or older.

What do we offer you?

• Your all-in gross hourly wage as a Part-timer: between € 9.38 and € 20.24 (this already includes your holiday pay and holiday days).
• Do you work on Sundays? Then we pay 200%.
• A good result for HORNBACH? Then a nice bonus, every quarter.
• A contract for 8 months for a fixed number of hours per week. After that, we continue, that's what we aim for!
• Travel expenses reimbursement. From 10 kilometers one way, you will receive a reimbursement from us. We will then cover your public transport costs (2nd class), or €0.23 per kilometer if you come by car, with a maximum of 40 kilometers per day.
• Various opportunities for personal development, with (vocational) training and courses.
• A well-arranged pension. We pay 2/3 of the premium, you pay the rest.
• A freshly prepared meal from our chef, so you can power through the late-night shopping evenings.

How many hours can I work and how flexible are the working hours?

You can work up to 16 hours per week. And during holidays, you can work extra hours. You decide how many hours you work, so it always fits around your studies or other obligations. Together, we will ensure a suitable schedule. So, nice and flexible!

Do I need experience to work at HORNBACH?

No, you don't. Your go-getter mentality and the willingness to learn a lot are the most important things. You will be trained by colleagues with a lot of knowledge, who will teach you new things at a rapid pace. Do you feel like putting your shoulder to the wheel? Then you are more than welcome.

What does my first working day look like?

After waking up full of energy, you will report to our service desk on your first working day. Your onboarding buddy or Market Coordinator Training & Development (MCOO) will be aware of your first day and will pick you up. Your buddy or your MCOO will introduce you to the HORNBACH way of working and will gladly introduce you to our heroes on the shop floor. On your first day, we will also assemble a clothing package that fits your role and wishes. Additionally, we have a wide range of (online) training courses that you will start with in the first few weeks. So, plenty to do!
