Job Description – BigCommerce Developer / BigCommerce Engineer Job Title: BigCommerce Developer / BigCommerce Consultant Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced BigCommerce Developer to design, develop, customize, and support scalable eCommerce solutions on the BigCommerce platform. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in BigCommerce storefront development, API integrations, checkout customization, and end-to-end eCommerce implementation. The candidate should be comfortable working with a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks effectively, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality results. Key responsibilities include: • Designing, developing, customizing, and supporting scalable eCommerce solutions on the BigCommerce platform • Developing and maintaining complex storefronts using BigCommerce's API and SDK • Integrating third-party APIs and services into BigCommerce stores • Customizing checkout processes for unique business requirements • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality results • Troubleshooting and resolving technical issues in a timely manner • Staying up-to-date with the latest BigCommerce platform updates, features, and best practices • Participating in code reviews and ensuring adherence to coding standards • Developing and maintaining technical documentation for internal use • Providing exceptional customer service and support to clients • Working closely with the development team to identify and prioritize new feature requests and bug fixes. The ideal candidate will have: • 3+ years of experience as a BigCommerce Developer or similar role • Strong understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP • Experience with BigCommerce's API and SDK • Knowledge of RESTful APIs and JSON data structures • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and version control systems like Git • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail • Strong communication and collaboration skills • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
