BI Specialist - Financial Reporting & Data Analytics

At Hügli, we ensure that our BI landscape is constantly up-to-date. As a BI Specialist, you are not just a developer or a classic controller in this role: you are the link between Finance & Controlling, Business, and IT, and you help to rethink reporting and analytics from the ground up. You bring your understanding of financial contexts, translate business requirements into modern BI solutions, and implement them independently with technologies such as Power BI, SAP, and Microsoft Azure. You work on a project basis, have a lot of creative freedom, and actively support the further development of our reporting.

Tasks

• Rethinking Reporting: You develop modern reporting and analytics solutions with Power BI and actively shape our financial reporting
• Finance & Controlling: You understand the business requirements from Finance and Controlling and translate them into sustainable technical solutions
• Developing BI Solutions: You independently conceptualize and further develop Power BI reports, data models, and complex DAX logics
• Making Data Usable: You work with SAP data, understand relevant structures, and derive the necessary information for reporting and analytics from them
• Cloud & You: You use Microsoft Azure, Azure Data Lake, or modern Microsoft Fabric technologies to provide data for further processing and analysis
• Shaping Projects: You support finance projects along our financial roadmap, develop new reporting solutions, and coordinate them closely with the business departments
• Driving Innovation: You engage with new technologies and AI-supported development and apply them where they create real added value for reporting and analytics
• Being an Interface: You work closely with Finance & Controlling, the BI team, and the group-wide environment, taking on a consulting role

Qualifications

• You have a finance or controlling background and have developed yourself towards IT, Business Intelligence, or Data Analytics in the course of your career – alternatively, you possess a comparable combination of business and IT experience
• You have profound experience with Power BI and can independently develop reports, data models, and complex DAX logics
• You understand finance and controlling processes and can comprehend and question business requirements behind figures, reports, and KPIs
• You are familiar with SAP data and structures, ideally in the FI/CO environment, and can identify and use relevant data for reporting and analysis
• You have practical experience with Microsoft Azure, especially Azure Data Lake, Microsoft Fabric, or comparable cloud technologies
• You possess good SQL and data understanding and have ideally already worked with data warehouses, ETL processes, or comparable data architectures
• You think analytically and conceptually, can structure requirements and develop solutions, and have prior experience in project execution
• You are strong in communication in German and English and are comfortable mediating between business departments and IT
