BI Platform & Data Automation Engineer (m/w/d) - PowerBI, Power Automate & Microsoft Fabric

For the further development of our platform architecture, we are looking for a Senior BI Platform & Data Automation Engineer (m/w/d). You will be responsible for the technical structure of our deployment-, setup- and automation logic and develop our internal platform for customer onboarding and lifecycle management strategically further.

Aufgaben

• You develop and are responsible for the architecture of our Power-BI-Workspace- and Deployment-Structures and ensure scalable, stable setups.
• You design and automate deployment- and release processes with Power Automate as well as the Power BI REST API.
• You model structured data models (Customer, Mandant, Version) and develop clean relational structures including versioning- and validity logics.
• You implement logging-, status-tracking- and monitoring mechanisms on SQL basis and analyze errors structurally based on status codes and logs.
• You are responsible for the safe orchestration of multi-workspace architectures considering data-leakage risks.
• You analyze dependencies between reports, datasets, and dataflows and ensure repeatable, idempotent deployments.
• You think processes in clear structures (Sales → Support→ Automation) and develop stable ownership- and governance logics.
• You work closely with Product, Customer Success, and Implementation together and translate requirements into stable technical architectures.
• You actively contribute to the further development of our platform strategy in the Microsoft Power BI- and Fabric environment.

Qualifikation

• You have several years of experience in BI-, Data-Engineering- or Automation-field.
• You possess a very good understanding of relational data models and master SQL securely (JOINs, DML, simple Stored Procedures).
• You have advanced knowledge in Power BI (Datasets, Dataflows Gen1/Gen2, Deployment Pipelines, Rebinding, Service vs. Desktop, Gateway & Credentials).
• You have several years of experience with Power Automate (Cloud Flows, HTTP-Actions, Error Handling, Concurrency, asynchronous processes).
• You understand REST-APIs, OAuth fundamentals and can read and analyze JSON structures.
• You recognize systemic connections and understand how structural changes can affect multiple processes.
• You work structured, precisely, and with high quality- and security awareness.
• You can explain complex technical issues clearly and act safely in exchange with different stakeholders.
• You have very good German language skills in writing and speaking.
