Contract: 12 months + likely extensions

Engagement: Full-time, daily rate contract

We are looking for an experienced BI Business Analyst / Project Manager to take ownership of end-to-end business intelligence initiatives - from requirements definition through to delivery and operational support.
This position is ideal for a hands-on BI data SME who can bridge business and technology, with strong skills in data modelling, BI solution design, and stakeholder management.

You will work independently while collaborating closely with business owners, data engineers, and developers to deliver scalable and high-quality BI solutions within an Azure-based environment.

• Take ownership of BI initiatives, managing scope, deliverables, and timelines across full project life-cycles.

• Work closely with business stakeholders to gather, analyse, and document detailed BI and reporting requirements.

• Perform data analysis, profiling, and validation to ensure quality and integrity across data sources.

• Design data models and data objects that underpin business reporting needs.

• Translate business requirements into functional BI specifications and technical documentation.

• Collaborate with development teams to ensure accurate and efficient data pipeline and dashboard implementation.

• Conduct unit and integration testing prior to release to production.

• Troubleshoot and resolve data-related incidents, ensuring continuous operational stability.

• Maintain up-to-date documentation for BI design, architecture, and operational procedures.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

• Excellent communication and documentation skills in English (spoken and written).

• Minimum 7 years' experience as a BI Business Analyst or BI-focused Project Manager.

• Proven track record leading at least two full BI project implementations (end-to-end).

• Hands-on experience in data object design, data modelling, and data profiling.

• Strong practical expertise in SQL and data analysis.

• In-depth experience in Azure cloud BI environments (e.g., Azure Synapse, Data Factory, or Databricks).

• Working knowledge of Oracle DB.

• Proficiency with Power BI and/or Qlik Sense for dashboard development.

• Solid understanding of BI architecture, ETL concepts, and best practices.

• Experience working in cross-functional global teams.

• Strong stakeholder management and facilitation skills.

• Familiarity with agile methodologies.

• Ability to translate complex data requirements into actionable insights for business leaders.
