Your workday as a security guard in training

Lots of contact with people. That characterizes your days as a site security guard. Because whether you work at a government institution, museum, bank, or asylum seeker center, you ensure that everyone is safe and feels safe. Depending on your workplace, you will perform doorman or reception duties and patrol. One thing is certain: you will have a lot of variety and face different challenges every day.

We are looking for security guards in training at the COA in Harderwijk. It is possible that in addition to this location, you will also be deployed at another location in the region.

During your BBL program, you will learn the security profession with us. And the fun part is: you do this mainly in practice. Depending on the MBO education in your region, you will have lessons online or in a classroom on average 1 or 2 days per month. The other days you work as a security guard.

Of course, you will receive good guidance. You start the first 2 weeks with our internal theory training, in which you will learn, for example, about your powers and responsibilities. This is fully tailored to your specialization: site security. After that, you will be trained by your personal practical supervisor or an experienced colleague. And then? You will start working independently!

• you have MBO level 1, a VMBO diploma, or a transfer certificate from HAVO 3 to HAVO 4.
• you have a driver's license B and your own transportation.
• you speak and write Dutch well. And basic English: in stressful situations, you can give the correct instructions in English.
