Working as a Security Guard at the COA in Harderwijk and Ermelo

As a security guard at a COA location in Harderwijk and Ermelo, you play an important role in the daily safety of the location. You are visibly present, maintain an overview, and ensure residents, staff, and visitors feel safe.
During your shift, tasks alternate. You monitor via camera footage, control access to the grounds, and regularly patrol the location. This allows you to quickly notice deviations and act immediately when necessary.
You are not just someone who monitors, but also someone who is approachable. Sometimes you help visitors find their way, sometimes you intervene when a situation requires it. It is precisely this combination of alertness, communication, and responsibility that makes the work as a security guard at the COA varied and meaningful.
You work in day, night, and weekend shifts. Most shifts are at the COA in Harderwijk and Ermelo, but it may happen that you are occasionally deployed at another location.

Who you are

As a security guard, you are alert, have strong communication skills, and stand firm. You know when to speak to people kindly and when to act decisively.

You are curious about what is happening around you and quickly notice when something deviates from the normal situation. This allows you to act in time and help keep the location safe and calm.

Additionally:

• You have an MBO level 2 Security Guard diploma
• You have a B driver's license and your own transportation
• You can work with Word, Excel, and Outlook
• You are physically fit and regularly patrol the location
• You speak Dutch well and basic English
