Day and night, during weekends and holidays, you are ready with only one goal: to guard and secure the Defense components as well as possible. With this, you are of invaluable importance to our national combat power.

Job Requirements

You have successfully completed the MBO2 Security Guard training (hard requirement) and have several years of relevant work experience in security. Additionally, you possess a B driver's license (hard requirement). Only if you meet these criteria, you can be invited for a selection interview. If you do not yet possess an MBO2 Security Guard diploma, but you do have a VMBO Kader diploma and are willing to follow the MBO2 Security Guard training internally, you are welcome to apply. You are integer, decisive, people- and organization-oriented, and you have a high sense of responsibility. You must be willing to perform armed duty and, if necessary, deploy force during an intervention. Geographical flexibility/mobility with regard to the various locations within the patrol area is desired and a plus.

After a potential selection, you must undergo a medical examination regarding the fitness assessment for Security Guard DBBO AND a security investigation must take place for the certificate of conduct (VGB) at security level B. For both, a positive recommendation must have been issued before you can be appointed. For proper performance of the role as a Security Guard (24/7), and before you can independently participate in your first full continuous shift armed, you must have successfully completed the internal initial training for Security Guard DBBO (total 7 months). If you start with us without the MBO2 Security Guard diploma, you must also successfully complete the internal training to become an MBO2 Security Guard during this period.

Other Employment Conditions

From 2025, defense employees will no longer receive holiday pay and the year-end bonus as separate payments, but will accrue them monthly through the Individual Choice Budget (IKB). The IKB for defense employees totals 16.33 percent of the salary. With the IKB, defense employees can decide for themselves when, on what, and how much budget they spend on time, money, or fiscal facilities. This can be up to the maximum monthly accrued budget. The IKB can be used for:

• A maximum of 15 percent of the salary can be used monthly for the exchange of the commuting allowance.
• The monthly difference between the contribution to the costs of private transport for commuting and the fiscal maximum.
• A bicycle for personal use, including bicycle accessories and bicycle insurance.
• A computer that can also be used for work or study, including computer accessories and computer insurance.
• A battery or electrical components for a bicycle.
• The payment of trade union contributions.
• Defense expects to further expand the possibilities of the IKB in the future.

We operate in a client-oriented, cost-conscious, reliable, flexible, and transparent manner. The work is performed within the DFLB, which falls under the Defense Support Command (DOSCO). The Facility, Logistics, and Security Division consists of a Staff (Cabinet, Facility Section, Movement and Transport Management Section, the Program Bureau, the DOSCO Locations Barracks Command, and dedicated support) and the following companies: Paresto (caterer), Defense Facility Company (FBD), Service Point, Defense Traffic and Transport Organization (DVVO), Defense Media Center (MCD), Financial Administration and Management Office (FABK), Bureau International Military Sports (BIMS), Royal Home for Ex-Servicemen and Bronbeek Museum (KTOMMB), and Defense Guard and Security Organization.
