The Network + Shift Planning FlixTrain team ensures that our train offer is reliably planned and implemented. This includes train, circulation, and service schedules as well as the scheduling of our train personnel – always with a view to statutory provisions, operational requirements, and a stable operation.

We are looking for people with a strong planning mindset: If you have already gained experience in shift or deployment planning – also in other industries – and enjoy structured, precise, and responsible work, then you're exactly right at FlixTrain. In your role, you will contribute to ensuring that processes fit together, resources are used sensibly, and our FlixTrain offer functions reliably for passengers and employees. You will work closely with internal teams and external partners and develop step by step into the specifics of rail operations.

About the Role

• Responsibility for the annual planning of the FlixTrain offer, including train, circulation, and service schedules
• Main focus on scheduling train personnel for regular and special timetables while adhering to statutory and operational requirements
• Independent creation and adaptation of short-term and long-term train schedules
• Coordination and ordering of service facilities as well as station stops in coordination with internal and external partners
• Closely working with rail transport companies, maintenance services, and production planning
• Responsibility for ordering, changing, and canceling routes in collaboration with infrastructure operators
• Analyzing ongoing operations to ensure stability and deriving optimization measures

About You:

• Degree or training in the field of traffic/transportation or logistics
• First experiences in service planning and/or operations planning in rail passenger or freight transport
• Familiarity with MS Office, ideally knowledge of TPN, FBS, IVU, WILSON, or comparable planning software
• Tech-savvy, entrepreneurial thinking, and the motivation to take on new tasks
• Team-oriented, communication-strong work style in a dynamic environment
• High sense of responsibility and hands-on mentality
• Fluent German skills; additional foreign languages are an asset
