The municipal company Stadtwerke Penzberg is a service-oriented company, conveniently located in the heart of Bavarian Upper Bavaria, characterized by employee-friendly structures, flat hierarchies, and a pleasant working atmosphere. We supply the city with drinking water and operate a sewer network as well as a joint treatment plant. Furthermore, we are building and operating an expanding district heating network. Since November 2023, we have been operating a modern family swimming pool with contemporary leisure and fitness facilities. Our subsidiary P-KOM GmbH operates a state-of-the-art fiber optic network with strong partners, and we are involved in regenerative electricity generation and distribution.

To complete our district heating team, we are looking for as soon as possible

District Heating Operations Manager (m/f/d)
permanent position, part-time (50% position) with the option to increase working hours from 2027

As the Operations Manager for the District Heating division, you will be responsible for ensuring the continuous supply of district heating throughout the entire service area. Complete the Stadtwerke Penzberg team and contribute your expertise to a future-oriented supply network.

Tasks

This is what you can achieve:

• Ensuring the proper operation of the facilities, including leadership responsibility for the three subordinate employees
• Support in the planning of major construction projects and independent planning and implementation of small construction projects
• Independent monitoring, control, and maintenance of the district heating supply facilities and buildings (generation and distribution)
• Analysis of fault messages from the process control system and troubleshooting in all system components
• Installation and commissioning of transfer stations at customer sites
• Maintenance of the GIS-based district heating cadastre
• Technical customer consulting on district heating supply
• Participation in a rotating on-call duty service

Qualifications

This is how you convince us:

• Certified District Heating Network Manager (IHK) or Distribution Network Technician or completed vocational training of at least three years in a technical/craft trade or training as a boiler operator or similar, with willingness to undergo further training to become a Certified District Heating Network Manager (IHK) or Distribution Network Technician
• Several years of professional experience in a comparable position desirable
• You are characterized by an independent, structured, and focused work approach
• Teamwork, reliability, and resilience are not just buzzwords for you but part of your daily work
• You bring with you the willingness to undergo further education and training
• Good IT skills (mandatory: MS Office applications, GIS, process control technology)
• Valid driver's license class B required
