BESS Design & Engineering Manager

Join MetaWealth, a leading European real asset platform, as we expand our energy infrastructure division. We are seeking a dynamic BESS Design & Engineering Manager to lead the technical design and integration of our utility-scale Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) projects across Europe.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead electrical and system design for utility-scale BESS projects, including single-line diagrams, layouts, and equipment selection.
• Oversee LV and MV integration, managing components like batteries, PCS/inverters, transformers, and switchgear.
• Develop and review EMS and SCADA technical specifications and integration strategies.
• Design and validate communication networks between BESS, EMS, SCADA, and grid operators.
• Manage equipment vendors and system integrators, ensuring compliance with grid codes and technical standards.
• Conduct key studies such as power quality, load flow, and grounding analyses.
• Participate in Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), Site Acceptance Tests (SAT), and Final Acceptance Tests (FAT).
• Maintain design documentation, drawings, and technical specifications.
• Provide technical support during construction and commissioning, resolving on-site issues.

What We’re Looking For:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in electrical engineering, preferably with BESS or utility-scale solar PV.
• Familiarity with Romanian energy regulations and grid integration projects.
• Strong expertise in low-voltage and medium-voltage systems, SCADA, EMS, and control systems.
• Proficiency in electrical design and engineering software.
