Policy Supporter Art and Culture

Function description Municipality Velsen - Policy Supporter Kunst en Cultuur You support the policy advisors Kunst en Cultuur both content-wise and organizationally. The content-related work involves (visual) art; the municipal collection and the artists in Velsen. You maintain contact, think along about the maintenance and visibility of the collection and initiates activities to strengthen the artists' community in Velsen. Organizational work consists of consultations with various stakeholders, such as the Municipal Executive, the City Council, and other departments within the municipality. You also coordinate with external parties, including art organizations, museums, and cultural institutions. Your tasks include: • Providing policy advice on Kunst en Cultuur-related matters; • Developing and implementing policies for the municipal collection and the artists in Velsen; • Maintaining relationships with stakeholders, such as the Municipal Executive, the City Council, and other departments within the municipality; • Coordinating with external parties, including art organizations, museums, and cultural institutions; • Initiating activities to strengthen the artists' community in Velsen. You are expected to have a strong affinity for Kunst en Cultuur and be able to think creatively about how to promote the municipal collection and the artists in Velsen. You should also be able to work independently and as part of a team, and have excellent communication skills.
