Environmental Policy Officer

For Gemeente Wierden, we are looking for an Environmental Policy Officer. You will be part of the Urban Development department, consisting of 34 employees who work together to create a livable environment where living, working, and staying is pleasant. In this team, colleagues think together and support each other in realizing spatial, economic, and sustainability challenges. The department finds it important to stay well-connected with residents and entrepreneurs, so that solutions are developed together that are widely accepted in society.

You will develop and implement policy within the environmental domain, including sub-areas such as absorption, spoor, and defense. You initiate and guide projects on these areas. From your professional discipline, you contribute to integral policy development and participate in various projects.

• You are the point of contact for environmental-related questions from different departments.
• You will take part in a pilot with the Environmental Service to develop environmental frameworks for implementation in the Environmental Plan.
• You update policy documents.
• You attend various regional meetings.
• You participate in internal project meetings.
• You handle internal questions regarding soil, noise, odor, cleanups, and nitrogen.
• You have knowledge and skills to implement the dowry.

Organization
You will be working for the municipality of Wierden, a municipality with 25,000 residents on the border between city and countryside.
